Office Manager
Aileen Snyder joined the staff of Temple Civic Theatre in the June 2006 as Office
Manager. Aileen had been the Business Manager at the Cultural Activities Center for six years prior to joining the TCT staff. While at the CAC, Aileen handled
rentals, the facilities staff, personnel management and all accounting
functions.
Aileen said that she and her husband, Terry, moved to Texas from California in 1989 when her husband became Executive Chef at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado. Terry now works as an home remodeling independent contractor.
Aileen also worked for Texas Instruments before the company closed the Temple location. After the plant closing, she went back to college and completed her degree in accounting, graduating with a 3.89 GPA.
Terry and Aileen's son works with his dad in the remodeling business, and their daughter works at Border's Express in Temple Mall and also at H-E-B.
Aileen says she really enjoys working in the arts. "The thing I love best is seeing
the joy in people's faces (especially children) after attending a show or
another event.
"I am really happy to have been chosen for the position at
TCT because TCT is like a family," Aileen adds. "Everyone has been so welcoming and it
really nice to see some of the faces that I recognize from the CAC.
"I may
eventually get over my shyness and actually audition for a part in a show. I haven't done that since I was in high school when I was Daisy Mae in
Lil Abner. And I sure enjoyed that!"
